Ann Watson, Semta’s Chief Operating Officer, paid tribute to Sam’s extraordinary achievement at such a tender age.
“This is an extraordinary achievement for one so young. I hope Sam’s new found fame will help fund yet more brilliant work. “The best days of great British engineering are ahead of us – Sam will become an iconic figure for the next generation which is set to achieve extraordinary things.”
Semta’s Engineering Hall of Fame is designed to ensure that great British engineers of the 21st Century are recognised to be just as important and influential as their illustrious predecessors. Ten nineteenth and twentieth century engineers were invested in to the Semta Hall of Fame having been selected by a panel of engineers. Sam joined them having topped a peer group poll.
